Position Overview

As an IT Technician, you’ll provide first-line technical support for our clients and internal teams. This is a hands-on role that will expose you to a broad range of technologies and real-world troubleshooting scenarios. You’ll work closely with experienced IT professionals and have the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. You will be working from home, in our office, and from client locations throughout the week. So, flexibility is very important.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical support for hardware, software, and network issues

  • Assist with setup and deployment of desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues via phone, email, and in-person

  • Document support activities in the helpdesk ticketing system

  • Assist in maintaining and updating inventory and asset tracking

  • Support routine IT maintenance tasks (e.g., updates, patches, backups)

  • Escalate more complex problems to senior technicians or engineers

  • Will travel 60% to 80% of the time between client locations within Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree

  • IT certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+ preferred

  • Sophos Firewall Certified Engineer Certification (required to obtain within six months of employment)

  • Advanced understanding of Windows and Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office, and general networking concepts

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

  • Valid driver’s license is required
